ABOUT ME

Ever since I was young, learning has been my true passion. From exploring Ayn Rand’s conflicting philosophies to delving into Amartya Sen’s welfare economics, I’ve always been fascinated by systems of governance and decision-making.

Picture a young soul, books in one hand and a helping hand extended with the other. That’s me – a knowledge seeker by day, community champion by night. When I’m not buried in textbooks, you’ll find me out there, sleeves rolled up, weaving threads of support through the fabric of my neighborhood. It’s not just about ticking boxes; it’s about painting smiles on faces and kindling hope in hearts.

For relaxation, I have a few favorite pastimes. I enjoy watching classic Bollywood films and admire actresses like Aishwarya Rai. Reading is another hobby of mine – I’m particularly fond of fantasy series like The Heroes of Olympus and 19th-century English literature. These interests in dance, film, and literature provide a nice balance to my academic and volunteer work, giving me a well-rounded set of experiences and interests.

From community leaders to business tycoons and influential personalities, our lineup offered a diverse range of insights. Addressing an audience of 100 attendees, I aimed to create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere, fostering curiosity and sparking meaningful conversations. Co-Founder of Sahayta Square: Improving Lives of Sanitation Workers
Sahayata Square
I've been deeply committed to improving the lives of sanitation workers in our community throughout 2023-present. We've successfully raised ₹2,20,01 in donations, enabling us to provide monthly rations worth ₹4000 to over 100 sanitation workers. Through comprehensive surveys, we've gained valuable insights into their challenges and lifestyles, allowing us to tailor our support to their specific needs. Our efforts have resulted in improved health outcomes for 15+ children, thanks to the provision of healthcare check-ups and deworming medicines. To raise awareness about the struggles faced by sanitation workers, we've produced a 10-minute documentary that has reached an audience of 200 people. Additionally, we've published a handbook outlining guidelines for inspiring community change and initiating sanitation improvements.

Systems Engineer at ARSSDC: Designing Space Settlements
ARSSDC
As a participant in the Asian Regional Space Settlement Design Competition with my school’s team and other 30 students, I had the opportunity to explore the possibilities of human life and commerce in space. I conceptualized and designed a community business and commerce center capable of supporting a population of 500,000 people. To ensure the sustainability of this space settlement, I defined and specified 15 robot specifications tailored for industries to thrive and survive in the unique environments of space and the Moon. Additionally, I developed a comprehensive contingency plan to mitigate the effects of solar radiation and lunar dust, addressing approximately 75% of these environmental challenges. The experience of competing with the top 20 schools in India was incredibly rewarding and has fueled my passion for space exploration and design.

WHAT MY GURUS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT ME

Jayanti Ravi

I feel this cause of sanitation is so important. I see a young child that has this kind of commitment and motivation and is inspired to do something for sanitation. It is something that we should all really admire and feel inspired by. Not just a thought, but she went ahead and has done a lot of things today in that direction.

Nilima Thakrar and Rupanshi Kashyap

Aarini has really come into her own. Her love for dance shows in every step, but what I really admire is how she’s always eager to learn. It took her a while to get the hang of.

Dr. Anjali Sharma

Aarini is a wonderful student. She's always taking charge and leading the way. She's always excited to be involved in school activities and help out her classmates. She's a real go-getter.

Saumya Sheth

Working with Aarini on Sahayta Square has been truly wonderful; to find someone at this age so dedicated, hard-working, and full of ideas, and also just as passionate about this cause as me was a blessing I will always be grateful for. I look forward to our future endeavors, and hope that we always grow and learn together!
